With 245,701 new registrations, the passenger car market in November was unable to reach the level of the same month last year. According to the Federal Motor Transport Authority, 5.7 percent fewer new passenger cars were registered. The VDIK market share in November was 38.5 percent. A total of 2,602,726 new passenger cars were registered between January and November this year, which corresponds to an increase of 11.4 percent compared to the same period last year.

New registrations of electric vehicles fell noticeably overall in November. At 18,124 vehicles, 59.3% fewer plug-in hybrids were registered in November than in the same month last year. BEV registrations fell by 22.5 percent in November. Overall, BEVs have nevertheless recorded growth of 28.2% since the beginning of the year compared to the same period last year. The market share of BEVs was 18.3% in November, while that of plug-in hybrids was 7.4%.

The commercial vehicle market fell by 2.1% in November. A total of 31,808 new commercial vehicles were registered. Since January, new commercial vehicle registrations have totaled 332,801, an increase of 18.5 percent compared to the months of January to November in the previous year.
