Bad Homburg. The VDIK welcomes the decision of the German Bundestag to amend the Energy Tax and Electricity Tax Act to extend the tax reduction for natural gas (CNG\u00a0\/\u00a0LNG) to 2026 and for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to 2022.<\/p>\n
This has created planning security for all parties involved. Gas-driven vehicles make a significant contribution to comply with the emission limits for NOx, noise and particulate matter and to achieve the long-term CO2<\/sub> targets. Especially in the commercial vehicle sector, the natural gas drive (CNG or LNG) is one of the few sensible alternatives to the diesel drive that has dominated so far.<\/p>\n The VDIK has repeatedly pointed out that the LPG drive with its lower emissions also helps to achieve the climate targets of the German Federal Government and advocates the consideration of liquefied gas.<\/p>\n VDIK President Reinhard Zirpel: “We explicitly welcome the fact that another important component to achieve the climate protection targets has been launched and that a significant contribution can be made to improve air quality.”<\/p>\n Bad Homburg.
