MEDIA / PR / TRADE SHOWS

Public relations

The Public Relations Department receives and deals with Media inquiries to the VDIK President and the Association, and edits them for PR purposes. The Department also prepares interviews on certain topics, welcoming speeches for special occasions such as anniversaries and conferences, as well as presentations and statements issued by the Association. It organizes the Association's press conferences and actively partakes in various press conferences and media events. Accompanying the VDIK President on visits to various editors and attending press conferences called by member companies, friendly associations and cooperation partners is also part of our media work. Likewise, attending award ceremonies hosted by auto industry media and associations is also an important form of networking.

In addition, the PR Department is also responsible for conceiving and producing publications about the Association and its work. These publications include VDIK Spezial, which reports and informs in abridged form about the Association's work, the VDIK website, which presents the key figures of the current VDIK members along with their distribution structures, and VDIK News, a newsletter for our member companies' management published several times a year.

Moreover, the PR Department is also in charge of organizing and executing the various events hosted by the VDIK. These include, for instance, the "Berlin Evening", to which the VDIK invites decision-makers and opinion leaders from political circles, administration and the media to its Berlin office for a discussion of automotive topics between high-caliber experts from government and parliament and representatives from our member companies. Another such event is the "VDIK Summer Get-together", to which the VDIK invites Berlin-based guests from the "automotive sector", party caucuses, ministries, government agencies, associations and companies dealing with topics related to the auto industry and road transport. In addition, the Department also holds individual events, for instances with specific media representatives.

The Department organizes the Media/PR taskforce which is comprised of PR representative from the individual VDIK member companies and which supports the members in matters of general importance for PR work in the automobile industry.
